Geology Section Fall 2011 Seminar REVIEW
The
Geology Section, Bureau of Water, hosted a seminar on September
8, 2011 at the Sedgwick County Extension Center in Wichita. The
seminar targeted regulatory clients permitted by KDHE for salt
solution mining, underground disposal, underground hydrocarbon
storage, and water well construction. Twelve presentations were
made with topics ranging from wind energy to carbon dioxide
geosequestration along with Kansas water management issues.
128 people attended the seminar. The Geology Section staff
received numerous compliments from the participants concerning
the seminar.
