Initiative
The goal of this federally-funded project is
to improve Kansas' data capacity assuring that critical issues
in maternal and child health are identified and addressed through
program and policy decisions.
Improve Kansas' data capacity in the
following areas:
Data linkages between Birth Records and Other Data Sources
Infant death certificates;
Medicaid eligibility or paid claims files;
WIC eligibility files;
Newborn metabolic screening files.
Availability and Access of Data to be Established or Improved
Hospital discharge data;
Birth defects surveillance system;
Survey of recent mothers;
Survey of adolescent health and behavior.
